Engraving Or Printing?
To engrave or to print, the lifelong question of engravable promotional products. The answer you ask? It's not that simple. Engraving and printing are two very different branding options available on a large variety of our metal keyrings. Engraving is the process of a laser removing a very small (almost microscopical) layer of metal leaving a permanent, physical impression whereas printing is the transfer of an ink onto the product.
Both are widely used throughout the promotional products industry. Although, if you're here trying to decide which will be best branding option for you there are many different reasons to consider before making the choice. One thing we constantly hear about the choice of a printing method is being able to showcase your brand's colours although what good is a nice printed logo if it's not going to last the life of the product? Well, that's the case with some of them where the products are constantly being moved or handled, keyrings are a great example of this as keyrings with plenty of keys can potentially scratch the printed ink straight off the keyring depending on the way it's printed.
One way these issues are solved is by engraving onto the keyrings which entirely eliminates the possibility of the print wearing off as there is no print to wear off! Although if colours are a must-have for your promotional keyring then why not look at either a resin or enamel coated photo-dome-like finish.
So if you're still unsure about what branding method you should go with for your keyrings and you'd like to find out, then the best possible way is to talk to our staff and let them know what you're after and they'll be able to assist you every step of the way!
